Is Assad getting ready to use Siren gas on his own people? This is the question that weighs on every ones mind today. President Obama warned Assad and said ' I want to make it absolutely clear to Assad and those under his command : The World is watching, The use of chemical weapon is and would be totally unacceptable and if you make the tragic mistake of using these weapons, there will be consequences and you will be held accountable.'
Why raise the bar to the use of these weapons? On Monday alone 300 people were killed according to human rights observers. Isn't it enough that he is killing hundreds of people every day, now the World will wait to see if he will actually use these weapons? We have removed dictators for lessor of crimes in the past so why wait on this one? Any thoughts?

Palestine wins Status to Non Member Observer State
Same organization that partitioned Palestine 65 years ago finally upgraded it's status to non-member observer state today.
The vote was 138 in favor, nine against and 41 abstaining.
“The moment has arrived for the world to say clearly: Enough of aggression, settlements and occupation,” Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas said to the packed UN General Assembly.
“We did not come here seeking to delegitimize a state established years ago, and that is Israel; rather we came to affirm the legitimacy of the state that must now achieve its independence, and that is Palestine,” he said.
“We did not come here to add further complications to the peace process, which Israel’s policies have thrown into the intensive care unit; rather we came to launch a final serious attempt to achieve peace,” Abbas continued.

No School; it's Missile Day
There is no bound of happiness among children when snow falls from the sky and schools are closed, it's snow day! Parents complain that their routine is interrupted because now they have to make arrangement for the child care so they could to go to work. Most of the kids sit by the windows waiting for the snow to stop so they could go sledding.
What happens when the schools close and it 'missile day'. When it's not the beautiful snow falling from the sky but missiles, when parents are not worried about going to work but worried about saving their young ones, when there is is no sledging other than sledging into bunkers. Missiles were being launched by Gaza into Israel indiscriminately, and they were landing at schools and populated ares. Same way Israel was sending missiles into Gaza killing hundreds, including children. Pictures coming out of Gaza were horrific, wounded children, veiling mothers and helpless grand parents.
Schools were closed on the both side of the border and children were traumatized on both side of the border. Will these children get any therapy and consoling? Will the the adults work towards the lasting peace? When these children look at their missing limbs will they hold the their adults accountable or will they hold grudge for the enemy? These children have deep wounds both physically and emotionally. My fear is that if these children are ignored and they will turn into the new crop of extremists.
We need two State solution, we need the parties to come to the table and work toward peace. Israel is here to stay and no one can will it away. Sooner Palestinians realize that the better it would be for them and the World. Children need to be children where they ran and laugh and not have a care in the World and not worry about the loud blasts that would rupture their ear drums or worse kill them.

Israel could start Ground Ofensive by Tuesday
Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said that if the rockets do not cease coming to Israel by Tuesday then he he will order ground offensive.
Vice Prime Minister Moshe Ya’alon stated Monday afternoon. “If what has been done up to now will not return quiet to the South, we have no choice but to expand the operation. The residents of the South — and in recent days not only the South — cannot live under a constant barrage of missiles and rockets. This is an intolerable situation.”
