Muslims need to unite in condemning the killings of the innocent people. We need to hear louder voices of all the moderate Muslims, so they down the voice of terror. Violence has no place in Islam, and the communities have to root out the terrorists. After the Boston attacks all the Muslims were worried about the back lash. Parents were afraid to send their children to schools, young Muslims were afraid to leave their homes. The question arises that are we vigilant enough to watch for the signs of radicalism in the people we know? Do we say something when we see something?

No mater what the intentions, terrorism is ugly and has no place in society. We at Moderate Muslim Voices condemn the attacks in Boston. We urge the moderate Muslims to step up and join us in condemning the acts of terrorist.
Join us on Facebook

NO! Some are raising the question if Boston Bomber; Tamerlan should receive a Muslim burial. No one except the media has declared him a Muslim. His uncle and aunt have both said that he showed interest in Islam but he was raised as a Christian. There has been no verification from FBI to that affect either. Then why raise the question if he should receive a Muslim burial? He was NOT a Muslim! He may have gone on Muslim websites but that does not make him a Muslim. Media has been very irresponsible in declaring him a Muslim.

Mosques are also shying away from giving him a Muslim burial.
Imam Talal Eid of the Islamic Institute of Boston, told Huffington Post.
"I would not be willing to do a funeral for him, this is a person who deliberately killed people."
A Saudi cleric claims the best way for his country
to prevent sexual molestation of young girls is to require them to wear
burkas.

The comments, made by cleric Sheikh Abdullah Daoud,
come in the wake of the Fayhan al-Ghamdi verdict. Al-Ghamdi is a Saudi
cleric accused of raping and torturing his five-year-old daughter to
death. On Saturday, Digital Journal reported al-Ghamdi was ordered to pay "blood money" to the slain girl's mother, but was spared a jail sentence.
Following the verdict, Manal al-Sharif, a women’s rights activist, launched the "Ana Lama" campaign via Twitter.
The campaign is aimed at forcing the Saudi government to enact
legislation that would criminalize violence against women and children.
Under Saudi Arabia’s current Islamic law, a father cannot be executed
for murdering his children, or for murdering his wife.
Daoud, whose critics have dubbed his idea the "baby burkas” campaign,
made the comments in October of last year. However following the
al-Ghamdi verdict, the comments are just now beginning to receive
widespread attention.
During a television interview on Islamic Al-Majd TV, Daoud said wearing
veils that completely covered the face would help prevent baby girls
from being molested. He went on to claim that unnamed medical and
security sources say there is an increase in the number of babies and
young girls being molested, citing the case of a 49-year-old man accused of raping his daughter no less than 288 times as an example.
Former Saudi Board of Grievances judge, Sheikh Mohammad Al-Jzlana, is publicly criticizing Daoud for his comments, telling Al Arabiya that the comments were denigrating to Islam and Shariah and “made Islam look bad”. Read more
How will burqa prevent girls from being raped by their own fathers or brothers? Every woman in Saudi Arabia is covered in burqa and are completely segregated. There have been wide spread cases where men have dug up the graves of women and raped the dead women. They can hide them in burqa or bury them, these monsters will not leave them alone. Almost always foreigners are hanged publicly for these crimes but Saudis pay blood money and go free. What a shame!!!
International (MQI) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri on February 5, and sought
explanation from him for violating the oath he took while seeking
asylum, Express News reported.

The authorities said that Qadri violated the oath stating that he was
not allowed to enter the country he had sought asylum from.
According to Express News correspondent Shakeel Anjum, Abdul
Shakoor Qadri, otherwise known as Tahir Qadri, had sought asylum from
Canada in 2008, fearing threats to his life after he met with the Danish
cartoonist responsible for making blasphemous caricatures of Prophet
Muhammad (pbuh).
Qadri, through his lawyer Mendel Green, had requested that he was
receiving death threats from Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan,
Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LeJ) and Sipah-e-Sahaba.
On October 17, 2009, his asylum application was accepted, while he was issued the Canadian passport about six months back.
The MQI chief has also been receiving welfare funds from the Canadian government, citing health issues.
Qadri, who led a 5-day long march in Islamabad which concluded Thursday evening, is currently present in Pakistan.
A Canadian cleric, who has twice played a part in backing military juntas in nuclear-armed Pakistan, is back in that country. And once more, he appears to be facilitating a military takeover in Islamabad.
Tahir-ul-Qadri is better known for his role in the creation of the infamous “Anti-Blasphemy Law” of Pakistan, that has brought untold misery to religious minorities and agnostics.
In the 1980s, Qadri backed the military junta of the Islamist General Zia who had overthrown former prime minister Z.A. Bhutto. In 1999, he backed the administration of General Pervez Musharraf, which had staged a coup against former prime minister Nawaz Shariff.
By the time democracy was restored in Pakistan, Qadri had emigrated to Canada, where he went into political hibernation until he became eligible for a Canadian passport.
With that in hand, Qadri left Canada to manage his worldwide network of devotees, who believe the Prophet Muhammad has appeared in Qadri’s dreams and gives him instructions.
Thursday's attack came despite a massive security operation mounted to safeguard the millions of pilgrims travelling to and from Karbala for the conclusion of Arbaeen commemorations.
Join us on Facebook

This is the question that weighs on every ones mind today. President Obama warned Assad and said ' I want to make it absolutely clear to Assad and those under his command : The World is watching, The use of chemical weapon is and would be totally unacceptable and if you make the tragic mistake of using these weapons, there will be consequences and you will be held accountable.'

Why raise the bar to the use of these weapons? On Monday alone 300 people were killed according to human rights observers. Isn't it enough that he is killing hundreds of people every day, now the World will wait to see if he will actually use these weapons? We have removed dictators for lessor of crimes in the past so why wait on this one? Any thoughts?
Join us on Facebook

The vote was 138 in favor,
nine against and 41 abstaining.

“The moment has arrived for the world to
say clearly: Enough of aggression, settlements and occupation,” Palestinian
Authority President Mahmoud Abbas said to the packed UN General
Assembly.
“We did not come here seeking to delegitimize a state
established years ago, and that is Israel; rather we came to affirm the
legitimacy of the state that must now achieve its independence, and that is
Palestine,” he said.
“We did not come here to add further complications
to the peace process, which Israel’s policies have thrown into the intensive
care unit; rather we came to launch a final serious attempt to achieve peace,”
Abbas continued.
Join us on Facebook

Parents complain that their routine is interrupted because now they have to make arrangement for the child care so they could to go to work. Most of the kids sit by the windows waiting for the snow to stop so they could go sledding.

What happens when the schools close and it 'missile day'. When it's not the beautiful snow falling from the sky but missiles, when parents are not worried about going to work but worried about saving their young ones, when there is is no sledging other than sledging into bunkers. Missiles were being launched by Gaza into Israel indiscriminately, and they were landing at schools and populated ares. Same way Israel was sending missiles into Gaza killing hundreds, including children. Pictures coming out of Gaza were horrific, wounded children, veiling mothers and helpless grand parents.

Schools were closed on the both side of the border and children were traumatized on both side of the border. Will these children get any therapy and consoling? Will the the adults work towards the lasting peace? When these children look at their missing limbs will they hold the their adults accountable or will they hold grudge for the enemy? These children have deep wounds both physically and emotionally. My fear is that if these children are ignored and they will turn into the new crop of extremists.

We need two State solution, we need the parties to come to the table and work toward peace. Israel is here to stay and no one can will it away. Sooner Palestinians realize that the better it would be for them and the World. Children need to be children where they ran and laugh and not have a care in the World and not worry about the loud blasts that would rupture their ear drums or worse kill them.
Join us on Facebook
Vice Prime Minister Moshe Ya’alon stated Monday afternoon. “If what has been done up to now will not return quiet to the South, we
have no choice but to expand the operation. The residents of the South — and in
recent days not only the South — cannot live under a constant barrage of
missiles and rockets. This is an intolerable situation.”
TEL AVIV – A missile launch site in the Gaza Strip was set up
by Hamas just half a block from a mosque and children’s playground,
according to aerial photographs provided to KleinOnline by the Israel
Defense Forces today.
Israel yesterday carried out a surgical strike of the site in
question – a Fajr-5 missile launch pad established in the heavily
populated Zeitoun district of Gaza to fire long range rockets into the
Jewish state.
The photograph of the launch site, posted above, shows a children’s
playground and a mosque located about a half a block away as well as two
civilian factories and a gas station also within a half a block radius. Read more
Join us on Facebook

underground pads of medium range rockets in the Gaza Strip.'
Rockets are raining on the both side and innocent people are dying. Businesses are closed and people have hunkered down. The fear is that it can escalate into full blown war as Israeli troops are marching towards the border.
Join us on Facebook

Most of the Muslims are in shock over the barbaric acts of the terrorists in Benghazi. The Muslims do not believe in portraying Prophet Mohammed in any way and when the movie about him came out which portrayed him in a manner that is offence to many Muslims, terrorists found the the opportunity to bring chaos and terror to the American embassy. They set the embassy on fire and killed innocent Americans.

We here at MMV are deeply saddened at this act of barbarianism, and send deepest apology to all Americans and especially to the families of the victims.
