Punjab Cabinet rejects foriegn aid

Chief Minister Punjab, Mian Shahbaz Sharif said that his cabinet has decided to reject foriegn aid. Speaking to the media in Lahore, Shahbaz called for the country to focus on trade rather than aid.
This comes on the heels of Senator Kerry's visit to Pakistan where he said that many members of congress want to stop the aid to Pakistan, he reassured that this will not effect Kerry-Lugar bill.

The chief minister said that foreign aid has increased the country’s problems instead of helping solve them. He added that the issues the country will face after denying foreign aid will only be temporary and the new policies should focus on building trade instead.
